New year auspicious times kept secret?!
April 8, 2013, 7:52 pmI searched today’s (7 April) Sunday Island and Sunday Times and did not find Avurudhu auspicious times nor colour prescribed by astrologers. About two weeks ago, they went in Perahera with a young bare bodied man dressed in a dancers dhoti and fancy headgear who presented a sandeshaya or whatever to the President. So why aren’t we told the times and lucky colour? After all we have to get clothes made of that colour and prepare ourselves for the nonagathe, time to light the hearth, eat, ganudenu, go to temple and all that. Seems to be kept secret and its just seven days to Aluth Avuruddha.
