I was under the impression that HE the President had given the OK for the statue to be erected on the premises of the institute — and work had begun on the base in ‘rock’ formation on which the statute was to be erected but on a recent visit to the LLKE at Horton Place it appeared that work onthe base had stopped— I then went to see the box in which the Statue lies (It has been there for years now— the box is open  to the elements and I wonder the statue is) and was both shocked and dissapointed that it was covered with  various forms of ‘dirt. I do hope that at least Mrs. LK who is on the Board of the Institute will have the statute finally erected —-’
