Jodhpur, March 23: In a major setback for Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam, a Rajasthan court on Saturday, March 23 framed fresh charges in connection with the Black-buck case.According to sources, the four actors may face six-year imprisonment if the charges are proven right. However, previous charges of rioting and Arms Act have been dropped against these four.The court Saturday restrained itself from reading the charges against Salman Khan, the main accused of the case. During the shooting of Bollywood Hindi movie Hum Saath Saath Hai in 1998, the five actors had allegedly shot black-bucks in a village near Jodhpur. The Bishnoi community, who worships Black-bucks as their god, filed the case against the these celebrities.
While Salman missed the court hearing on Saturday due to his treatment in US for a rare neurological disorder, other actors did not fail to attend the crucial hearing.The next court hearing on charges against Salman Khan will be held on April 27. Meanwhile, Saif along with other three actors pleaded not guilty and filed review petition in the court.Salman Khan earlier was charged with Section 51 of Wildlife Protection Act and others including a local accused Dushyant Singh with Section 51/52 of Wildlife Protection Act and Section 149 of IPC.
