Film and teledrama actress Semini Iddamalgoda yesterday filed a defamation plaint, against actress Damitha Abeyarathna, in the District Court of Colombo.
The plaintiff, Semini, alleged that Damitha had insulted her in an interview, broadcast over a private FM channel on January 13, 2013.
The plaintiff claimed Rs. 500 million in damages from the defendant for defaming her.
The plaint was filed by instructing Attorney Mayomi Ranawake.
