Former LTTE media spokesman cum UPFA candidate for the North Provincial Council, Velayutham Dayanidhi alias Daya Master, yesterday said that no other former LTTE member would contest on the alliance list but they would all support him. "All former LTTE combatants and other members will support me in the fray."

Daya Master said the northern people had reposed their trust in him and that would help the government with its victory in the North.Prominent former LTTE members including Prabhakaran’s chief arms procurer Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP, former women’s wing leader Subraminam Sivakamy alias Thamilini would throw their weight behind him, the former LTTE spokesman said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Relations Mervyn Silva went to Jaffna over the weekend and met key personalities to seek their support for Daya Master in the forthcoming elections, according to sources.
