Customs Chief Wathsala Nanayakkara reacts angrily on Friday when the media accompanied an Excise department team, investigating the recent detection of a container load of contraband (ethyl), at the Grandpass Customs clearing point. Nanayakkara warned that he could have had the media arrested for being an impediment to his duty. Excise Department alleged that ethyl had been brought in on the pretext of importing some chemicals needed to produce perfumes.
