New Delhi, May 22: Delhi police soon will arrest four more cricketers in connection with IPL spot fixinh scandal, informed sources on Wednesday, May 22. Cops would arrest four more cricketers based on Sreesanth's confessions during police interrogations, added the source.Delhi police claimed that they did not have any concrete proof against other players except Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan who have already been arrested. According to Sreesanth, the arrested trio including him were the only players in Rajasthan Royals who had agreed to spot fixing for money. The Kerala pacer earlier had told investigators how bookies lured cricketers with expensive gifts such as -- Hummer and other high end cars, expensive watches and women at parties. The three tainted players were arrested for spot-fixing during their team's matches and received up to Rs 60 lakh for conceding runs in one over as per arrangements with bookies. The players were suspended by the BCCI.Police custody for all arrested players and bookies have been extended as it ended on Tuesday. Despite reports of Sreesanth's confession before Delhi police, his lawyer sent email to media organisations telling a different story. In a statement, which has been sent to media, Sreesanth overruled all allegations against him saying, "I am innocent and have done no wrong. I have never indulged in any spot fixing. I have always played cricket in the spirit of the game.""...as a cricketer, I have learnt to take knocks along with accolades, in my stride. I recognise that I am going through a tough period in my life" added the Kerala pacer in his statement which was emailed by his lawyer Rebecca John to media organisations.
