The smartphone has Oleophobic coating and dragon trail glass which makes it both scratch and finger-print resistant. Running the Android Jelly Bean, v 4.2, the P51 has a Mediatek 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. This is a dual SIM device with 4GB internal storage and support for a maximum of 32GB of expandable memory.

According to Panasonic India MD Manish Sharma, the company plans to invest Rs 200 crore over next 12 months to grow this new category in India.
Panasonic aims to capture 8 per cent of the smartphone market share by launching eight more smartphones across a wide price range - from Rs 6,990 to Rs 35,000.
